Since 1953, we have been organising specialized fairs for the consumer goods industry at various locations in Germany. Events such as the MUSTERMARKT and BIJOUTEX fairs in Stuttgart and Munich, the HOBBYMARKT in Essen and Sindelfingen, the “Bayerische Möbelmusterschau” (Bavarian Furniture Exposition) in Munich and the TrendForum in Karlsruhe have become known far beyond regional boundaries.


In order to ensure the economic future of the MUSTERMARKT and Bijoutex fairs in Munich, the Kohl Fachausstellungen GmbH handed over the organisation of the two trade fairs to the “Messe München GmbH“ in January 2008.

After these two specialised trade fairs close their doors in January 2008, the “Messe München“ will take over the responsibility for their organisation, thus guaranteeing their continued appearance at the exhibition site in Munich.


With the departure of fair organisers Ekkehard and Christine Kohl, an era spanning almost 55 years at the exhibition site in Munich draws to a close.

TrendForum fair to get a new organiser and a new location


After the sale of the Mustermarkt and Bijoutex fairs to the Messe München, Kohl Fachausstellungen GmbH have recently sold the TrendForum fair, which has been a pretty successful event at the new fair grounds in Karlsruhe for the past ten years. The purchaser is the Stuttgart-based trade fair organiser, H & K Messe GmbH & Co. KG.


The sale went hand in hand with the relocation of the TrendForum fair from Karlsruhe to the new exhibition site in Sinsheim.


TrendForum was held in Karlsruhe for the 10th and last time from June 21 to 23, 2008, under the management of our company, Kohl Fachausstellungen GmbH. Due to contractual obligations in connection with the sale of the MUSTERMARKT and BIJOUTEX fairs, we are no longer authorised to conduct fairs in this sector of the industry, and so we are very pleased to have found a competent fair organiser, H & K Messe GmbH & Co. KG, to continue the tradition of the TrendForum fair.


It was a matter of particular concern to us to guarantee that the long-term exhibitors at the TrendForum fair continue to be offered an ideal platform for the distribution of their products. TrendForum opened its doors for the first time in January 2004, in the then newly built fairgrounds in Karlsruhe. Since those days, we and all our staff, together with the scores of exhibitors involved, have invested a lot of time, energy and effort into developing the TrendForum fair as an appealing and comprehensive option for specialized traders in this region to place orders.


We wish the TrendForum fair every success in its forthcoming move to the new fair site in Sinsheim.


Hypermarket Trendhaus Alte Manufaktur


In March 2003, the Trendhaus Alte Manufaktur hypermarket opened in Günzburg as a subsidiary of the Kohl Fachausstellungen GmbH. At this venue, 35 well-known companies from the sectors of interior design, florists’ articles and decorations sell seasonal articles to specialized traders all the year round in 5,000 square metres of exhibition space.
